Overview

Opal Solutions is seeking an experienced NEC Housing Consultant to support a UK Social Housing Organisation with the transformation, improvement and ongoing development of its NEC Housing environment.

This is a hands-on consultancy role requiring strong NEC Housing knowledge and a practical understanding of social housing business processes. You will work as part of a wider transformation team alongside architecture, integration, data and senior NEC expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on functional consultancy across NEC Housing Management

  • Analyse and improve existing NEC configuration, processes and workflows

  • Translate housing requirements into practical NEC solutions

  • Configure and support NEC application changes

  • Support testing, releases, upgrades and implementation

  • Investigate complex application, process and data issues

  • Work across NEC Housing and connected systems/integrations

  • Support functional design and solution decision-making

  • Work with Housing, IT, application support and third-party suppliers

  • Produce configuration/support documentation and support knowledge transfer

Strong practical experience across several of:

  • Estates/Tenancy Management

  • Rents

  • Arrears/Income Management

  • Service Charges

  • Repairs

Essential Experience:

  • Strong hands-on NEC Housing/NEC Housing Management experience

  • Previous Housing Association/UK social housing experience

  • Practical NEC configuration and functional consultancy experience

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end housing processes

  • Experience delivering application and process change

  • Ability to diagnose issues across NEC, business process, data and integration boundaries

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
